"Certified Business Hotels" are hotels tested by business travellers. It is the certainty of planning in this travel segment which is the focus of the VDR certification. Its main aim is, on the one hand, to facilitate the work of a travel manager. On the other hand it is the certainty on the travellers side itself as far as the visited hotel is concerned.
The certificate "Certified Conference Hotel" exists since 2005, developed from the initiative of different associations (VDR, DGVM, GCB). It's aim: to optimise cooperation between the industry and the hotel business and to create industry standards in the convention area. The basis: individually developed "association criteria for conference hotels".
Event Planners are always on the look out for innovative conference venues which meet high quality standards. "Certified Conference Ship" - the certification for conference ships - is based on the association criteria which were developed for the award of the certificate "Certified Conference Hotel". These were adapted to take into account the meeting facilities offered by conference ships.
